Conference Overview

The California Wildfire Conference occurred on October 24-26, 2023, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Ventura County. In partnership with Ventura County Resource Conservation District and Ventura County Wildfire Collaborative, Coastal Quest hosted a 3-day exchange that brought together a diverse community of wildfire practitioners to focus on understanding, preventing, and recovering from wildfires. Participants from all parts of the United States and beyond joined to collaborate on how to best address the state of wildfire.

Coastal Quest

Coastal Quest is a 501(c) 3 non-profit working collaboratively with partners to build resilient coastal communities for people, nature, and the climate. We work with non-profits, community-based organizations, local and state agencies, and other leaders to create, just, equitable solutions that reduce risk and impacts from climate change, improve water quality and access, and support healthy communities and ecosystems. Coastal Quest uplifts and empower leaders, organizations, and communities to achieve their desired social, economic, and ecological outcomes through our three key strategies: 1) capacity-building and knowledge sharing; 2) building support, piloting, and implementing solutions; and 3) providing technical support for project design, grant management, and fiscal sponsorship.
